Attention: the Torre del Barbarossa will be closed to the public from the beginning of April 2026 for restoration works and for the creation of a new interactive museum. The reopening date has not been announced yet.

The tower testifies to the hospitality offered by the Mandelli family to the German Emperor Frederick Barbarossa in 1158. Built of limestone, it houses a museum founded by the Gruppo Amici di Maggiana (Association of the Friends of Maggiana) with an exhibition of hand-crafted objects and rural art from Maggiana.
