Located in the ancient Borgo di Castello, dive into the maze of narrow streets and enjoy this “glimpse of the Middle Ages”. All that remains of the old centre are the walls facing the lake and the square base of a watchtower that was fought over in the war between Milan and Como in 1124. From the original religious building (11th century), there are a few small walled windows, part of the left side and some remains of frescoes inside.
