Due to the extensive wildfires of summer 2026 and the resulting real risk of landslides and rockfalls, the Municipality of Gordona has issued a mayoral order strictly prohibiting passing —whether on foot, by bicycle, or by other means—along the section of the Via Francisca trail located directly beneath the rock wall of the Torre di Segname.
The area has been cordoned off with barriers, and clearly visible signs will be installed to warn passers by of the danger. The closure will remain in effect until the necessary cleanup and safety stabilization work on the mountainside has been completed.
