May 2026 Update

Please note that, in the Municipality of Varenna, at the moment the section of the lower variant between Lierna and Varenna, between Pino and the source of the Fiumelatte, is closed due to work by Anas (National Agency for the Protection of Rocks) on the rockfall nets above the trail.

This section can be walked coming from Lierna, upon reaching the Anas cabin before the section that runs alongside the SS36, go down to the left, follow Via Roslina, pass through the hamlet of Pino, and reach Fiumelatte, along the lakeshore. From here, continue along the lake to Varenna, or follow the signs for the source of the Fiumelatte.
