We have 6 rooms, each with private bathroom, some have a balcony overlooking the lake. There is a room with disabled access and bathroom. In the friendship space you can find several books that talk about mountaineering and Tibetan culture, as well as board games and old photos. We have a very suggestive wood and stone mountain style dining room overlooking the Grigna mountain and the valley.
Rifugio Shambalà can be reached by car from Bellano following the signs for Valsassina and then Casargo and Alpe Giumello, or from Lecco going up towards Valsassina, when you arrive in Taceno you go up to Casargo then Alpe Giumello. It can be reached on foot from Bellano following the mule track to Vendrogno, Mornico, Alpe Tedoldo and finally, Alpe Giumello. It can also be reached on foot from Indovero by following the Agrosilvopastorale road.
The mountain cabin has a cozy inside restaurant and an outside a large terrace with tables where you can eat or drink something. We also have deck chairs to relax in the sun and storage facilities to leave bicycles at night.
